I'm writing software since I am 15 years old. Having started with Visual Basic and later learning Delphi, C++, Perl, I'm using Java, JavaScript and Python on a professional level. I'm passionate about good software design and clean code.

By day

In my day job, I work as Senior Staff Software Engineer at BlueYonder in Hamburg. I lead a team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists. They build services that help companies to make better decisions in their whole supply chain.

Some things I have accomplished in the past:

  • Building SAP Business ByDesign Project Management Module as ABAP Developer
  • Trainer and Coach for Java Fundamentals and JavaEE
  • Trainer and Coach for Agile Software Engineering (TDD, Clean Code, Refactoring, Working Effectively with Legacy Code, Test Isolation)
  • Organizing internal Learning Modules on Software Engineering topics
  • Winner of the HCM Cloud Hackday
  • Building the frontend for Employee Central Position Management and Company Structure Overview
  • Architect for Employee Central Position Management
  • Frequent speaker at SAP internal events
  • One of the youngest participants in the SAP Development Expert Curriculum
  • Consecutive highest performance ratings and nominations as Top Talent / SAP Catalyst

By night

In my spare time, I like to contribute to Open Source projects and learn new things. Through the RaspberryPi, I came to Python. Man, I love this language and the community.

For the community, I like to attend Python conferences like PyConDE and EuroPython. I try to give something back by volunteering and giving talks.

Also, I'm a mentor at Jugend hackt (see my lightning talk here).
